Problem: Homelessness is a major problem, particularly in urban cities across America.  Homeless people often suffer from mental illness as a result of years on the street, or as a factor which drove them to the street.  Drug use and alcohol use is frequent.  However, despite this, these were once functioning adults, able to hold down jobs till a series of misfortunes occurred. Sometimes it is mental illness or a job loss, or a divorce, or loss of family and family support. Whatever the reason, every person deserves to live in the security of having a home, particularly during the cold season.

To date – Donation of funds to Charlie’s Place to support the feeding program it runs. https://www.charliesplacedc.org/  Please support Charlie’s Place if you have additional funds to give. We have worked with them and know firsthand through volunteering with them that they do a good job supporting Washington DC’s homeless.

-In addition, this NGO aims to help fund the homeless during critical winter months (Dec-April)

-Provide longer term housing as funding allows

-Job/Mental Health/Paperwork support
